Nominations for 2026 are now open!
Each year, the Mount Allison Alumni Board honours alumni who exemplify the spirit of the University through their achievements, leadership, and service. These awards recognize alumni who have made a tangible difference — to Mount Allison, in their professions, or in their communities.
Anyone can nominate alumni who:
- Have demonstrated exceptional leadership or impact in their field or community;
- Have given meaningful service to the advancement of Mount Allison; or
- Have shown ongoing commitment to improving the lives of others.
Nominations are welcome from all alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends of the University.
Charles Frederick Allison Award
This award honours alumni whose sustained commitment and leadership have significantly strengthened Mount Allison University.
Recipients are individuals who have gone above and beyond in advancing the University’s mission — through volunteer leadership, recruitment, mentorship, advocacy, or service on boards and committees. Their efforts have helped connect generations of Mount Allison students and alumni and enhanced the reputation of the University locally, nationally, or globally.
Examples of impact include:
- Serving in key volunteer or leadership roles within alumni governance or University initiatives;
- Supporting student and alumni success through mentorship or career development;
- Championing projects that strengthen the University community or expand its reach.
Contemporary Community Award
This award celebrates alumni who have graduated within the past 15 years and who have already made a significant mark through professional achievement, innovation, or community leadership.
These emerging leaders are using their Mount Allison education to shape industries, influence social change, or build stronger communities.
Examples of impact include:
- Founding or leading an innovative business, non-profit, or artistic venture;
- Achieving early distinction in research, education, or public service;
- Leading community or advocacy projects that promote inclusion, sustainability, or social good.
Lifetime Community Award
This award recognizes alumni whose lifelong service and leadership have had a lasting, positive impact beyond the Mount Allison community.
Recipients are known for their integrity, generosity, and sustained commitment to improving the lives of others — whether through volunteerism, professional excellence, or civic engagement.
Examples of impact include:
- Decades of leadership in community or humanitarian organizations;
- Transformative professional contributions that have strengthened public institutions or advanced social causes;
- Consistent advocacy for education, equity, health, or the environment.
