May 2023 Reunion
Join your classmates in celebration of your Mount Allison Reunion, May 12-14, 2023!
This May we are celebrating the 25-Year Reunion of Classes of '97 & '98.
Letter from the Class Executive
Dear Class of 1997,
Our 25th Reunion is May 12-14!
Have you been to Sackville since graduating in 1997? Some of us have gone back for reunions (and had a blast) or stopped for a quick visit while on vacation in the Maritimes, but it’s now time to officially come back to attend our 25-Year Pin Ceremony!
We realize our 25th was last year — in case you missed the message, we polled our classmates on the Mount Allison Class of 1997 Facebook page and the decision was made to postpone our festivities to Convocation Weekend this year.
As your Life Class Officers, we’re in the process of working out the schedule for a fun-filled weekend. In addition to our Pin Ceremony, you can look forward to catching up with classmates on Friday night and then proceeding to a good ol’ fashion East Coast Kitchen Party with Signal Hill. There will be time to tour the campus, visit Waterfowl Park, fill your bellies at the Alumni Banquet, dance the night away at the Garnet & Gold Gala, and most importantly catch up with folks that you may not have seen in over 25 years.
Registration is now open, visit mta.ca/reunion to sign up now. If you haven’t joined our Mount Allison Class of 1997 Facebook page, check it out and encourage friends to join you in Sackville May 12-14, 2023.
Please feel free to reach out to the Alumni Office at alumni@mta.ca with any questions or suggestions for our upcoming reunion.
We look forward to seeing you in Sackville this May!

Class Bursary Fund
Have you heard about our Class of 1997 Bursary Fund? At our 20th reunion, the idea was conceived to establish a bursary to support students on campus with health and wellness needs for years to come. Are you able to make a leadership gift or pledge to our bursary fund? Leadership gifts generally start at $1,000 and can be pledged over multiple years. We’d love to see the Class of 1997 alumni give back by supporting the lives of future Allisonians.
For more information on the initiative, please contact Marcie Meekins, Manager of Alumni Giving at mmeekins@mta.ca. Ready to contribute now? Go to www.mta.ca/donate to make your pledge.
