Class of 1971 Bursary
The Class of 1971 continues to support a bursary. Members of the class are encouraged to continue contributing to help students with financial need realize their dream of a University education.
Celebrating 55 years, join us at Reunion!
A letter from your class President:
Hello Class of ‘71,
Happy spring to one and all.
This email will serve as a final reminder to register, if you have not already done so, for our 55-year reunion in Sackville next month. I am so encouraged that we have about 31 registrants so far. You can see the list of your Classmates who plan to attend by clicking here.
Most are arriving Friday, May 8, although several plan on coming to Mount A a day early on Thursday, May 7, and a few, due to family or personal circumstances, will arrive on Saturday morning. Hopefully you will be among those who come early, and stay for the weekend!
It looks as though we will be in Harper Hall and our lounge is located on the 4th floor, which will be ours exclusively for the weekend. That is where we will have our always great Friday social evening, and the lounge will serve as our focal point for planned or spontaneous get-togethers.
We will have our Class meeting Saturday morning from 9:00 until 11:45 in room 111 of the Avard Dixon building. This is always a fun affair, and hopefully, with luck, Jeanne Inch will have an ongoing slide presentation.
Our Class picture will be taken at noon in the foyer of the Purdy Crawford Centre for the Arts, to be followed by the Alumni luncheon in Jennings.
Saturday afternoon will give us free time for individual or group pursuits, and/or to partake in the numerous other activities the University has planned for Convocation Weekend.
And, of course, the Alumni banquet Saturday evening presents a wonderful opportunity to have a great meal, and hear about all the wonderful things the University, its students and graduates are doing.
In addition to our Class functions, I stress that there are many other things to see and do throughout the weekend. I’m sure you will find activities to enjoy throughout your time in Sackville. .The Mount A website provides a very comprehensive schedule.
I certainly hope to see you during reunion weekend, May 8-10.
Best regards,
Mark Johnson

Celebrating 50 years
The Class of 1971 returned to Mount Allison to celebrate 50 years in July of 2022. The global pandemic had delayed their celebration.
