Mount Allison's Frank McKenna School of PPE to Host First Annual Atlantic Undergraduate Policy Case Competition
SACKVILLE, NB —Mount Allison University is proud to announce the inaugural Atlantic Undergraduate Policy Case Competition (AUPCC), a groundbreaking event aimed at engaging students in public policy discourse. The competition will take place on the Mount Allison University campus on November 1–2, 2024.
The AUPCC offers undergraduate students from Mount Allison University, Acadia University, and St. Francis Xavier University the unique opportunity to apply their academic knowledge to real-world policy issues. This year's policy topic, Climate Adaptation and Mitigation in Atlantic Canada, will challenge participants to present innovative solutions to one of the most pressing issues facing the region.
Organized by a team of undergraduate students in collaboration with the Frank McKenna School of Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) at Mount Allison University, the competition promises to sharpen participants' critical thinking, research, and formal writing skills. The AUPCC also provides an invaluable platform for students to connect with peers, faculty members, and industry leaders who are at the forefront of policy and environmental work.
All events will be held at Mount Allison University.
