The exchange application for the 2021-2022 academic year is now open. The application deadline will be [date] at midnight.


  • This application is for current Mount Allison students only who are interested in going on exchange to one of our partner universities in the [year-year] academic year. If you are interested in going on exchange for the fall [year] or winter [year] term, please apply using this application. Please consult the below list of eligible partner universities that have placements available. Note that partner universities that have a strike through them are not available for the [year-year] academic year.
  • You must have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of above 2.5 at the end of the fall 2020 term to apply.
  • You must have completed at least one academic term with at least 15 credits completed at Mount Allison prior to the application deadline (date).
  • If you are interested in applying to the Strasbourg Program, there is a separate application that can be found here. You should not complete the below application if you are applying only to the Strasbourg Program, however, if you would like to also apply to other exchange programs, please complete this application.

Why are you interested in going on exchange to your first choice?

What personal qualities do you feel you have that would make you well-prepared for an exchange? 
How are you planning for coursework completed while on exchange to transfer back to your Mount Allison degree? For example, are you hoping to use the credits towards general electives, distribution requirements, or as degree requirements for your major and minor? Please explain.
How do you see an exchange tying in with your personal and long-term goals?
Participating in an exchange carries with it some additional costs such as return airfare, travel insurance, higher cost of living, and possibly other items such as applying for and obtaining a study visa or residence permit. Please explain how you intend to cover these additional costs.
