Please note 

  • This application is for current Mount Allison students only who are interested in participating in a summer study abroad program at one of our partner universities.  

  • You must have a current grade point average (GPA) of above 2.5 to apply to a summer program. 

Available programs

The following summer programs are administered by Mount Allison's affiliated partner universities. Typically, you will pay all of your fees to the partner university for the program.   You can transfer coursework completed during the program back to your Mount Allison degree.  There are no language requirements for any of these programs although some programs offer language courses as part of their summer programs. Please note that dates of each program vary from university to university so please consult the webpages for each of the programs below and familiarize yourself with the courses available and the dates they are offered.    

If you are approved, your name will be passed along to our partner university to participate in the program.  

Europe

  • Hessen International Summer University (ISU) Marburg (Philipps Universität Marburg) - Germany
    • 4 weeks, July 20 - August 14, 2026
    • 1 German language course/1 "German History and Politics" course/two academic seminars (credits transferred back to Mount Allison TBD)

    • 4 weeks: June 2026 & August 2026 
      • All students will also attend a German language class.

    • Students can take 1 or 2 classes per block

* please note that if program fees and tuition are paid directly to our partner university, students will need to complete a Letter of Permission (LOP) at Mount Allison University in order to transfer the credits back to their degree.  The cost of an LOP is $50 CAN.
