Strategic Plan Implementation Moves Forward this Fall
Since Mount Allison’s Strategic Plan — Broad Minds. Bold Futures. Lifelong Connections. — launched in January, work has continued across the University to turn its priorities into action.
As the 2026–27 academic year gets underway, work is continuing on the projects and initiatives that support the Strategic Plan’s Year-One priorities. The Strategic Plan Implementation Group (SPIG) is coordinating this work and creating opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to learn more, ask questions, and contribute throughout the year.
Each Year-One priority has a project sponsor from SPIG who is helping lead the work and identify projects and areas for discussion.
A key part of implementing the Strategic Plan is turning Year-One priorities into specific projects and areas of work. Project charters are being used to help define this work, including its purpose, goals, and scope, and to provide a shared framework for moving projects forward.
An introduction to project charters will be the focus of the first Consultation Zone on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9:30–11 a.m.
Consultation Zones
Consultation Zones will provide opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to learn more about the work underway and share questions, ideas, and feedback.
Each month, a Consultation Zone will focus on a different Year-One strategic priority. Project sponsors will provide updates on the work and identify opportunities for community input as projects progress.
Feedback shared through these sessions will help inform the ongoing implementation of the Strategic Plan.
