Community update
Paid Parking Implementation at Mount Allison University
02 Mar 2026
Parking permits are now required in all campus parking lots
Paid parking has been implemented in campus parking lots following the April 2025 announcement and subsequent community feedback, which helped shape the policy and rollout.
All campus parking lot users — students, faculty, staff, and visitors — must obtain a valid parking permit appropriate to their needs in order to park on campus.
Before purchasing a permit, users must:
- Create an account through Mount Allison’s parking website — Operations Commander (OPSCOM)
- Register their vehicle by licence plate number
- Purchase the appropriate permit
Please note:
- Residence students follow a different process to obtain permits. For details, visit mta.ca/parking.
- All parking lot users, including visitors, parking during enforcement hours, must register their vehicle and may purchase a permit. Hourly and daily permits are available. For permit information, and parking access and hours, visit mta.ca/parking.
- No physical permit is displayed — your license plate serves as your permit.
