Further Information Regarding Concerning Message Found on Campus
Further to last night’s email addressing wellness supports on campus due to a concerning message found on campus referencing February 11, 2026, the University is now taking the next step to close the University on this date out of an abundance of caution.
The University will be closed on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 and all classes and on-campus activities are cancelled. Any scheduled midterms will occur during the next regularly scheduled class.
Residences will remain accessible with keys as normal and Jennings Dining Hall will remain open Tuesday and Wednesday until 8:30 p.m. with increased Security. Late-night will be cancelled Tuesday and Wednesday.
Actions Taken
The RCMP were notified as soon as the message was found.
Increased patrols and Security presence on campus beginning today.
