Position description

The Department of Politics and International Relations at Mount Allison University invites applications from persons interested in teaching, by stipendiary (part time) appointment:

Fall Term:
POLS 3251 – Globalization and Labour
                     3rd year course
                     Anticipated enrollment 40 students
                     Fall 2024 Semester (September 3rd to December 31st)
                     Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00am to 11:20am

POLS 3000 level – Special Topics in Comparative Politics
                     3rd year course
                     Anticipated enrollment 40 students
                     Fall 2024 Semester (September 3rd to December 31st)
                     Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00pm to 5:20pm

Winter Term:
INLR/POLS 2301 – Introduction to International Relations
                    2nd-year course
                    Anticipated enrollment 60 students
                    Winter 2025 Semester (January 6th to April 30th)
                    Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 12:30pm to 1:20pm

POLS 2001 – Democratic Thought
                   2nd-year course
                   Anticipated enrollment 60 students
                   Winter 2024 Semester (January 6th to April 30th)
                   Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10:30am to 11:20 a.m.

Applicants must have a PhD in political science and teaching experience in the field.  Each course involves approximately 3 hours of class time per week. Teaching will be in person.
