Position description

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Mount Allison University invites applications to teach one or both of Applied Calculus (MATH 1151) and Linear Algebra (MATH 2221) in the Winter 2025 term. This is a stipendiary (part-time) appointment to be offered at Mount Allison in Sackville, subject to budgetary approval. The successful applicant should have experience teaching undergraduate mathematics and a M.Sc. in Mathematics or a related area, with a Ph.D. preferred.

Classes begin January 6, 2025 and conclude April 4, 2025 (with the exam period following).  Both classes meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; Linear Algebra 8:30-9:20am, and Applied Calculus 12:30-1:20pm. The instructor is expected to be available to meet with students at least 2 additional hours each week. Anticipated enrolment is approximately 100 students in Applied Calculus and 75 students in Linear Algebra. Course descriptions can be viewed at www.mta.ca/calendar.
