Position description
The Department of History at Mount Allison University invites applications for a part-time stipendiary appointment for the Fall 2025 term to teach Hist 3361 Culture and Society in Modern Europe. This course examines major themes and issues in Continental European social and cultural history from the seventeenth century to the present.
This lecture and discussion course will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00 p.m. - 2:20 p.m. Preference will be given to candidates able to offer the course in person on the Mount Allison University campus in Sackville, New Brunswick, but a scheduled online option may also be possible. Anticipated enrolment for HIST 3361 is between 20 and 35 students.
Candidates should have or be near completion of a PhD in History and have prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level. A letter of application, a curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information of three references should be submitted in one PDF file to:
