The Department of History at Mount Allison University invites applications to teach on campus by stipendiary (part-time) appointment:
Fall term:
HIST 3991-A The Past in Popular Culture
3rd-year course
Anticipated enrollment is 35 students
Fall 2024 Term (September 3rd to December 31st)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30-3:50pm
Winter Term
HIST 2301–Introduction to Environmental History
2nd-year course
Anticipated enrollment is 60 students
Winter 2025 Term (January 6th to April 30th)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00am-11:20pm
HIST 3511–Colonial America in an Atlantic World
3rd-year course
Anticipated enrollment is 35 students
Winter 2025 Term (January 6th to April 30th)
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9:30am-10:20pm
HIST 4321–Topics in Environmental History
4th-year seminar
Anticipated enrollment is 12 students
Winter 2025 Term (January 6th to April 30th)
Tuesdays 2:30-5:20pm
Candidates can apply to teach one or a maximum of two of the listed courses. Candidates should have or be near completion of a PhD in History and teaching experience in the field at the undergraduate level. Each course involves approximately three hours of class time per week.
