Position description

 The Department of English Literatures at Mount Allison University invites applications to teach ENGL 1801: Introduction to Prose Fiction in the Spring 2026 (May 4, 2026 to June 19, 2026). This course will be offered synchronously online on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m., Atlantic Time and has a projected class size of 50. Salary will be calculated on a per-student basis.

Applicants should be experienced, versatile, and dedicated teachers with proficiency in teaching synchronous online courses. They should hold a graduate degree in English Literature, preferably a doctorate. Candidates should prepare a letter of application, a complete curriculum vitae, and a one-page description of their approach to teaching this course, to be sent in electronic format to:
