Position description
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Mount Allison University invites applications for a part-time stipendiary appointment for the Fall 2025 term, to teach an elective course in Research and Communication (CHEM/BIOC 3991A).
The successful candidate should have a completed (or in-progress) PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field. Doctoral students are welcome to apply, and prior teaching experience is preferred.
The anticipated enrollment in the course is approximately 24 students, involves 3 hours of class time per week and regular in-person teaching in the course is required.
The complete application should include a cover letter, CV with names and contact information of 3 references, a short course outline (e.g., topics, course readings, textbook, type of assignments and assessment), and a 1-page statement of teaching philosophy as a single pdf file.
