Connecting students, language and culture.

The Mount Allison Semester Studies in English (MASSIE) Program offers specialized English programs for students from Mount Allison's international partners.

Two full-length, 15-week programs are offered in the summer (May-August) and Fall (September-December). A shorter, 6-week program runs in February and March. All programs offer a highly-personal, small-class experience which connects students with the campus and the community.

Students live in residence and are matched with Mount Allison conversation partners. Trips and activities serve to introduce students to the history, culture and geography of the region. Volunteer placements with local schools, businesses and community groups give students the opportunity for language practice and cultural exchange.

MASSIE is more than a language-learning program; it is an immersive, cross-cultural experience that brings students and the community together through friendship, discovery, and exchange.

Explore the MASSIE website to learn more about the program and how you can participate as a student or volunteer.
