Planned Fire Drill in the R.P. Bell Library

11 Oct 2023
A fire drill will take place in the library on Thursday, Oct. 12.

What to do during a Fire Drill:

  1. Calmly, orderly and immediately leave the building using the quickest evacuation route.
  2. Close doors and windows if it is safe to do so.
  3. Provide assistance to those who are unable to leave the building on their own.
  4. Go to the designated assembly area. (For the Library: go to the academic quad between the library, Gairdner, Barclay, and the Owens)
  5. Wait for authorized staff to provide details on when you can re-enter the building.

Please review the Fire and Emergency Policy 2215 for information on what to do in the event of an actual fire or emergency evacuation.
