New Student Support Certificate Program for faculty and staff

12 Nov 2025
Offered in collaboration with Student Affairs and Extended Learning

Student Affairs and Extended Learning are pleased to announce the launch of the Student Support Certificate Program, a free professional development opportunity for Mount Allison faculty and staff.

Being passionate about helping students thrive is one of the great rewards of working at a university. This program is designed to help faculty and staff better integrate the complexity of the student experience into our work, and to build skills to support students through a wide range of challenges.

“Supporting and empowering students is truly a community effort,” says Vice–President, Student Affairs Nona Robinson. “This certificate program offers faculty and staff an opportunity to build on their understanding of today’s student experience and strengthen the network of care that makes Mount Allison such a supportive place to learn and grow.”

Individual seminars can be attended by any faculty or staff member; the certificate will be awarded after completion of the six core seminars and four of the optional ones. The first workshops will begin in November and will continue into the new year.

Seminar Schedule

  • Understanding the Student Experience (with Nona Robinson) — Thursday, Nov. 20 | 3–4:30 p.m.
