Mount Allison welcomes 2025-26 Entrepreneur-in-Residence: Paris Malenfant

Mount Allison welcomes Paris Malenfant as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence for 2025-26. Malenfant is an award-winning entrepreneur and passionate advocate for business and community development in Atlantic Canada. As co-founder of LUXkbs Inc., she leads one of the region’s fastest-growing cabinetry and 3D laminate manufacturing companies, recognized for its innovative design and commitment to quality. Under her leadership, LUX has become a trusted partner for builders, designers, and homeowners throughout the Maritimes. Malenfant also champions social responsibility through partnerships with Habitat for Humanity and other local initiatives.
"I am thrilled to collaborate with brilliant, driven future leaders whose creativity and entrepreneurial spirit are truly contagious," says Malenfant.
Earlier in her career, Malenfant founded and successfully sold WigsCan Inc., a purpose-driven company that provided wigs, headwear, and emotional support to individuals experiencing cancer-related hair loss. The business expanded across North America and earned a strong reputation for its impact and compassion.
Malenfant has been a member of the Wallace McCain Institute since 2014, collaborating with Atlantic Canada’s top entrepreneurial leaders. She served as President of the Business & Professional Women (BPW) of Moncton and contributed to the board of the Moncton Breast and Women’s Cancer Partnership, advocating for education, support, and access to care.
With over 22 years of experience in production, sales, and distribution — and a diploma in Fashion Marketing from LaSalle College Montréal — Malenfant blends creative vision with business expertise. She has received multiple honours, including Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2014) and the Denise Leblanc Emerging Business Woman Award (2015).
Malenfant is deeply committed to fostering leadership, collaboration, and innovation. She believes that strong relationships are the foundation of success and is excited to share her knowledge and experience with students, faculty, and emerging entrepreneurs.
