Announcing Student-Focused Day Two of Scott McCain and Leslie McLean Speaker Series, February 10

Speaker Series explores connections among physical and mental health, community well-being, and leadership

Mount Allison students are invited to take part in the day two installment of the Scott McCain and Leslie McLean Speaker Series featuring The Hon. Dr. Andrew Furey and Dr. Allison Furey — a day designed specifically with student conversation, connection, and leadership learning in mind. 

This student-focused series will create opportunities for informal dialogue, shared learning, and meaningful discussion about leadership, public service, well-being, and decision-making in complex environments. FREE LUNCH in Tweedie Hall, hosted by President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ian Sutherland, will take place between two focused sessions for health studies and PPE, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

11a.m. – Focus on Health Studies
Gracie’s
Informal discussion focused on health leadership, systems, and well-being, followed by Q&A with students and faculty.

12 p.m. – Student Lunch + Door Prizes (RSVP for lunch to kibrown@mta.ca).
Tweedie Hall
Free student lunch hosted by Mount Allison President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ian Sutherland. All students are invited to attend. Enter to win MtA swag! 

1:15 p.m. – Focus on Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE)
Gracie’s
Conversation focused on political leadership, public service, decision-making, and reflections on leading in complex public environments.

Students are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and take advantage of this opportunity to connect with experienced leaders while exploring ideas that shape careers, communities, and public life.
