Position description

The Department of Geography and Environment at Mount Allison University invites applications for a stipendiary (part-time) teaching position to teach “Natural Resources Management” (GENS/GENV 2101), a 2nd year undergraduate course. This course serves as an introduction to and review of natural resources management in Canada, with an emphasis on renewable resources including forests, fisheries, wildlife and protected areas. The course is cross listed in Environmental Science (BSc) and Environmental Studies (BA) and so addresses both the ecological and human dimensions of natural resources management and conservation. The class size is approximately 75 students and is scheduled for the 2025 winter term (early January to late April).

The successful applicant will have a PhD (or ABD) and expertise relating to themes common to the interdisciplinary study of natural resources management.

We are open to different modes of course delivery, i.e., online-only, in-person only, or mixed-modes.
