Position description

The Feminist and Gender Studies Program at Mount Allison University (Sackville, NB) is seeking a part-time instructor for FGST 2301: Feminism Beyond Borders. This course may be taught in-person or online, in the Fall 2025 term, Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:30am-12:50pm with an approximate class size of 35. There may be some flexibility in the scheduling of this course.

The successful applicant should hold a graduate degree in Feminist and Gender Studies or a related field or be near completion of such. A specialization in transnational feminism is an asset; attention to the ongoing dynamics of settler colonialism is a core thread in the program’s curriculum.

Please send a curriculum vitae and a letter describing relevant experience, and outlining the approach you would take to the course (e.g., format, themes, type of assignments and readings). Please also provide the names and contact information for 2 references (to be contacted once candidates have been shortlisted).

Applications should be sent via email to:
Ms. Brittany Jones
Administrative Assistant, Feminist and Gender Studies
Email: bjones@mta.ca

Please direct any questions or requests for further information to:
Dr. Krista Johnston,
Program Director, Feminist & Gender Studies
Email: krjohnston@mta.ca

The review of applications will begin March 24 and continue until the position is filled.
