Position description
The Ron Joyce Centre for Business Studies/Commerce Department at Mount Allison University invites applications for two part-time stipendiary appointment in Sackville to teach COMM 1011A and COMM 1011B – Applications in Business Studies for the fall term. This course introduces core elements and functions of businesses and organizations (herein, organizations) in contemporary society. It considers internal and external influences, pressures and demands on organizations to understand and critically reflect on the contexts in which they operate. It introduces different business and organizational structures, functions, and considers issues of competition and collaboration within and between businesses and stakeholder groups (including governments, sectors/industries, unions and the workforce).
The course is scheduled with two sections on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:30 to 4:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the Fall academic term 2026. The class size is approximately 75 students per section. The course should be taught in person on the Sackville campus.
Qualifications/Skills:
Candidates should have experience teaching business courses at the undergraduate university level, demonstrate a strong commitment to high quality undergraduate teaching and engagement, and a graduate degree in Business Studies.
