Dear Allisonians,

I am excited to share some wonderful news that reflects Mount Allison's ongoing commitment to innovation and community building. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new virtual meeting space and office, powered by Kumospace! This dynamic, interactive platform will serve as a unique space where alumni can connect with each other and the Alumni Office staff, no matter where in the world they may be.

Our virtual office offers a variety of features that make it feel like you are right back on campus. From the comfort of your own home, you can explore a virtual representation of our beloved university grounds, reconnecting with the spaces that defined your Mount Allison experience. This space is designed to foster a deeper sense of community and allow for real-time interaction, just as you would enjoy in person.

But this is just the beginning. Our virtual office is more than just a digital meeting place, it’s a vibrant hub of activity. We have a fantastic lineup of events planned to bring this space to life. Look forward to attending special speaker sessions featuring notable alumni, faculty and thought leaders who will share their insights and experiences. These events will provide excellent opportunities for learning, networking, and reconnecting with fellow Mounties.

For those who miss the lively atmosphere of the Tantramarsh Pub, we are recreating it virtually! Join us for pub nights to catch up with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy the camaraderie that only a true Mountie understands. Our trivia nights promise to be a fun and engaging way to test your knowledge on diverse topics, from sports to history to popular culture.

Additionally, we are excited to host mini reunions in this virtual environment, where you can reconnect with your friends.
We also want to invite you to take an active role in this new venture. We are looking for alumni volunteers interested in hosting and organizing their own MtA events within the virtual space. Whether you have a great idea for a workshop, a casual meet-up, or a themed event, we would love to support you in bringing it to life. Your creativity and enthusiasm can help make this space truly vibrant and diverse.

We hope you will take full advantage of this innovative platform. Whether dropping in for a chat, participating in an event, or hosting your own gathering, the virtual office is your space to explore. Stay tuned for more information on how to get involved and navigate this exciting new addition to our alumni community.

We look forward to seeing you in our virtual space soon!

Warm regards,

Carolle de Ste-Croix
