FAQ
When can I apply to attend Mount Allison?
Our application for admission and scholarships opened on Oct. 1. When you register for Open House, you will receive a promo code to waive the $50 application fee. Apply and upload your most recent transcript by Oct. 15 at 12 noon (ADT) and your application will be reviewed for admissions-on-the-spot and the Future Mounties Celebration on Friday, Oct. 16. The application is available at mta.ca/apply.
How does the virtual Open House work?
We know that visiting campus is the best way to help make your university decision. This year’s virtual Open House will be the next best thing! There will be a mixture of videos and live virtual sessions throughout the week that you can attend to learn more about all aspects of Mount Allison from academics to student life and even life after Mount Allison. The videos will premiere at the listed times for you to watch and will be available afterwards to view if you can’t make it at the launch time. Information sessions and panels will be hosted on Zoom. You will receive secure links and instructions each day by e-mail to access the Zoom sessions. If you don’t already have Zoom, you can download it ahead of time: https://zoom.us/download You can also follow @MtA_Admissions on Instagram for lots of great stories from our students!
Do I need to register?
Yes. If you register for the Open House, you will get a promo code to apply for admission, MtA merchandise in the mail, plus you will be entered to win a $5,000 residence award, which will be drawn on Friday night, October 16. You will also need to register in order to get access to the Zoom links each day. Please register your parents or guardians as guests, so they are able to join us as well.
