Introduction to analysis,
by Edward D. Gaughan. (This is the text used in Math 3111.)
We will cover Chapters 4-7.
Test
The midterm test will be held in class on February 29.
Grades
The final grade will be based on the assignments, the
mid-term test and a final examination. The weights will
be approximately 20%, 20% and 60% respectively.
Assignments
There will be six written assignments, approximately one every two weeks. They are an essential part of
the course.
Be sure to attempt all problems in the text, not just the ones assigned to be handed in.
