First-year politics, philosophy, and economics (PPE) student Noah Fry is the recipient of a Bell Achievement Award, one of the University’s most prestigious entrance scholarships.

Fry, a graduate of Moncton High School, says he chose Mount Allison because of its thriving and welcoming community.

"The reason I chose Mount Allison was due to its thriving and welcoming community. Throughout my high school experience, any and all success that I came across were ramifications of my social and physical environment. Mount Allison emerged as my clear choice for post-secondary education."

The PPE student is already working to combine his academic and extracurricular interests, joining his residence house council, intramurals, the Young Liberals, Electric Circus council, the Model United Nations club, and several academic societies.

In high school, Fry established the Knightingale Literary society, a group he continues to be involved with today, as well as the Environmental Discussions association, and debate club. Fry also served as director for the Moncton Centre Liberal Association during the Fall 2015 federal election campaign, participating in both provincial and federal politics at a young age.

Fry co-led his high school’s model UN club and volunteered with the YMCA tutoring program in Moncton.
